Bondada Engineering, a Hyderabad-based infrastructure engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company, has secured a work order worth 1.08 billion (~$12.8 million) from the Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency(BREDA)for a large-scale solar streetlight initiative.
The project involves designing, supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning smart solar streetlight systems on existing electric poles across rural Bihar.
The contract also includes a five-year comprehensive maintenance contract and the implementation of remote monitoring systems, according to a regulatory filing by the company.The contract must be executed within 18 months from the date of the agreement signing. This project is part of the Mukhyamantri Gramin Solar Streetlight Yojana.
