Power to the people: Off-grid solar solutions for 200,000 homes

Since 2010, more than 360m people have gained access to modern energy through off-grid solar products. But, if the sector had remained on its pre-COVID-19 growth trajectory, an additional 23m people would have benefitted.

Still, before the pandemic hit, the sector was not on track to deliver its hoped-for contribution to SDG 7. Continued and strong support will be necessary to make sure this sector recovers and grows to meet its target.
