Saudi Arabia is to construct several solar-powered wells in Nigeria and Mali which
stands to provide nearly half a million people as well as livestock with a supply of
clean drinking water.
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre(KSrelief) recently signed a cooperation agreement with a civil society organisation to implement a project to drill 21medium-depth solar-powered wells in Nigeria.
The targeted regions include Abuja, Enugu, Kano, Osun, Oyo, and Kaduna.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the agreement was signed in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, by KSrelief’s Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programmes,Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz.
