The first grid-connected solar energy farm in Zimbabwe is to increase its capacity
from 2MW to 25MW.
The project is slated to be completed this week.
Independent power producer Centragrid said the 25MW plant will comprise approximately 70,000 solar modules arranged into 10 power blocks, each with a capacity of 2.5MWdc.
The 25MW plant will cover a land area of about 50 hectares.
The company confirmed to local media last week that they are confident they will
commission the extension by 1 August.
